About Us

At Golden Garments, our mission is to facilitate dignity, comfort and a higher quality of life to nursing home residents by ensuring they have access to clean, comfortable and seasonally appropriate garments. Our story is one of compassion, resilience and a deep commitment to caring for others.

Founded by Ronda Banks, a healthcare hero, the organization was born out of a heartfelt desire to meet a critical need she observed daily. While caring for residents, she

saw many lacking basic clothing essentials; a gap that often goes unnoticed yet holds a profound impact on their daily life. 

Ronda’s passion for caregiving began long before her professional career. Growing up, she played a pivotal role in caring for her disabled father, an experience that deeply shaped her understanding of the importance of meeting others’ needs. These formative years inspired her to dedicate her life to serving those who are overlooked. 

What began as a personal mission has now grown into a community-driven effort to uplift and support nursing home residents, one item of clothing at a time. Golden Garments is proud to be a bridge of hope for those who seem to have been forgotten. We invite you to join us in making a lasting impact by volunteering, donating or simply sharing our story.
